Grandma’s House

I am looking at the beautiful Christmas tree at my grandma’s house, waiting to open the presents. There are many presents under the tree. All my family is here. And now we are eating food. The food is corn, mashed potatoes, and roasted chicken. Dessert is Christmas cookies and vanilla or chocolate ice cream. Now it’s time to open presents, the kids open their presents first. Then eventually we all go home. We go to Grandma’s house every year on Christmas. This is one of our traditions.

My Christmas Tradition

My Christmas tradition is if I do good at my concert, I get to open one present on Christmas Eve. I always pick the biggest present. On Christmas, I open all of my presents with my family. One problem is that I have to open my presents last. We made a rule that it goes from oldest to youngest. I will jump if I get the present  I really wanted. I hug whoever got it for me.

Christmas Tradition

This is what we do for Christmas Eve. We hide the nickel ornament in the living room, and whoever gets it gets two nickels. Sometimes we will open one gift and then we will go to church. After half an hour, we will go home and open the rest of the gifts. Then we will go to Grandma's house. That is what we do for  Christmas.

My Christmas Tradition

My family has a Christmas tradition. First, we open up stockings from Santa. Our stockings have Santa holding a present and that present has my name on it. Then we will open up the presents that my parents got me. We go from youngest to oldest opening presents. We open up the presents that my sister and brother got me next. We go from smallest to the biggest present. Next, we open the presents that aunts and uncles get us. Finally, we open up the presents that Nana and Poppa got us. Clearly, we have fun Christmas traditions.

My Christmas Memory

Playing in the snow was so much fun. I see my family making a snowman. I am lying in the snow making a snow angel while the rest of my family builds the snowman. I am thinking about what it is going to look like when it is done. My cousins, my nana and my papa came to help. The kids were playing in the snow and running around the house. My nana brought the supplies we needed for the eyes and mouth. The kids were having so much fun but then the parents called out “The snowman is ready.” The snowman was about six feet tall. Then we slide down the snowman like a slide. The snowman was so much fun!

My Christmas Tradition

First, we eat with my aunts, uncles and cousins. There is turkey, mashed potatoes, corn and pumpkin, apple and peach pie. After that we play football and watch football. We also play other games. Then we will go to midnight mass. After that, we open presents. This is my family tradition.

My Favorite Present

I  was sitting in the living room waiting until it was my turn. My aunt and uncle were still opening their presents. Staring at my present made me want to grab it. Finally, I grabbed my present. It was bumpy and little. It had many pieces. It was a minecraft lego set. It was so colorful. I was happy and excited at the same time. Not much later, my dad and uncle helped me put it together. Two hours later, it was beautiful, colorful, big, and amazing. It was built. I loved it. This lego set was my favorite present.

My Christmas Tradition

I choose the flavor of milk, we get special straws for the milk, different cookies, sometimes I don't like the kinds of cookies and fruit. The cookies are usually chocolatey and sugary but the kinds I do not like are snoop cookies. I always try to give bananas because I think that reindeer like bananas. We have a special tray for the food because we usually find a cool tray. Some water in a bowl goes on the floor for the reindeer if they’re thirsty. I usually make a sign that says which way Santa’s food is and where the deer’s food is so the reindeer don’t eat cookies and Santa doesn’t eat the banana. We always give Santa and his deer some food so they aren’t.

My Christmas Memory

I remember about a time when we went to grandma and grandpa’s house for Christmas. When we got there, everybody was there. I was playing the game Trouble with my cousins, and I won. Then we made gingerbread houses. Mine fell and broke. I glanced at my presents. I wondered what was in them, and thought it was some new toys. We all sat down to eat turkey with all the fixings. After we ate, we opened presents. My cousins got a new farming toy year. Grampa and Grandma buy everyone an ornament. I got a Kansas City Chief one and then we played some cards. That took a while and then we left. This is what we do every year.

My Christmas Memory

A memory I have is going to a Christmas parade.  We had a lot of fun and saw a lot  of things. My favorite was a giant snowman.  We also went out to eat that night.  This is a favorite Christmas memory.
